That function isn't available online?
we have to call Dish to get it reactivated.. - bigdoggerExplorer IIJust so you know, using someone else's account for satellite TV is a violation of that person's service agreement. It is possible for Dish to charge her account full price for all the months you have been using that service, or for them to cut off her service permanently.
It is also unfair to all of us who pay for our service. Every person who cheats the company like that adds a bit more to our bill. - Community AlumniStick with what you have. Even if you get your own account and your receivers are unplugged for a few days you'll have to call Dish to get them reactivated. We have a receiver in a guest bedroom that we keep disconnected and we have to call Dish to get it reactivated when we have company or take it with us in the RV.
BTW, the 211 receiver sucks up 26 watts when is "turned off."
