all that and full set of 18 volt dewalt cordless tools, full set of metrics and standard impact sockets ,air compressor,175 amp mig welder,1/4 ton chain hoist,40 ton air powered bottle jack, 20 ton bottle jack , portable battery jumper and 4 3300# straps

Interesting replies. As a former mechanic with a 20 year old set of tools that probably set me back $30,000 over the 25 years I worked in the trade I have been contemplating what to put in the tool kit.
I figure a socket set and ratchet, 12" extension, a couple of vise grips, needle nose, side cutter, water pump pliers, a few open end wrenches and a Leatherman should do it.
Beyond that- tape, velcro, string. wire, goo glue, fuses and tester, voltmeter, batteries, cellphone and a credit card to call Good Sam, AAA, whoever. Oh yeah screwdrivers:)

...and buy THIS multimeter. You won't regret it. I have 3 of them.

Aluminum tape. LINK We use something similar on aircraft. You can buy it at big box hardware stores. It can be used in place of duct tape in most instances and you can get it off without it disintegrating. It also does better with age/UV.

It does not matter what is in my bucket. When something goes wrong none of them are the right tool. I always have to go buy a new one to get the job done.

Sometimes I think the list of the tools I 'left behind' is longer than the tools on board.

There should be alarms on the top of the spare tire and bumper so you can't set tools on top of them!

I often wonder how long my forgotten tools hung on until they flew off on the interstate.

I'm sure I have forgotten something, and this list does not include the extra freezer, 2 Harleys, 2 kayaks, fishing rods/tackle or the stash of wood that I carry for my hobby....or her quilting sewing machine and fabric.

If we were just weekend camping I'd just carry the bare minimum and fix everything at home....but this is our home.

Back when we were fulltiming, the big basement was packed full. But, I wanted MORE. It's just one of the reasons we no longer fulltime. The thing is, NOW the big 3-car garage is full, and the basement in the motorhome is still full as well.
I do all the maintenance and repairs, on everything. And, I'm always behind schedule. Perhaps it's because bass fishing is more important. Did I mention that my bassboat is full also....:B

First spring opening of my hybrid 2 yrs ago I found out that mice had camped in the trailer during the winter... they ended up eating a 2" hole through my canvas end! :M...ordered a roll of white duct tape through Graingers....that roll I keep in the trailer.

Yup, that's about what I have in a 3 drawer tool chest.
