Where do you put the big cabelas recline chairs

We have 2 of the cabelas brand reclining chairs. I love to have them camping. They are a great chair. BUT, they don't fold flat, nest, or do anything else to make them travel better.

What do you do with them when traveling?

Up to now they have ridden next to couch. Now the kids have bigger bikes that have no other place to go right now. The chairs ended up on our bed. (Not convenieient)

I got rid of mine also. Too big, bulky and heavy. Last summer on a 5 month trip I used it about 6 times not worth it for me. We have two Coleman fabric chairs with the side tables we use.

    Yep, gave them away.
  • I used to have a problem with bikes, the extra propane tank for the grill, my reclining chairs, etc. Then I bought an TT with the bike door and bunk beds that get out of the way and opens up to a storage area. Problem solved. I will never be without the bike door and storage area again.

  • We have the fat boy ones and they don't fit in the basement well. We put them in the toad trunk and use them often.

I hung mine on the ladder rack. I carried them for months and months and many tens of thousands of miles. I barely used them. For one thing they were heavy and a big nuisance to deal with. Once in a long while we eat outside at a picnic table but other than that I rarely spend much time in the campground. Now I have old fashioned, light weight aluminum chairs which we actually use...at least once in a while.

I suppose it comes down to what RVing means to you. I travel, sightsee, do photography and enjoying experiencing national parks and other areas of exceptional beauty. I rarely sit in the campground.

x2 gave them to our son to much trouble to carry, pack, and unpack storage space better used for other stuff that we don't need
  • I throw them in the basement. Why don't you just tuck them into the trailer while traveling?

  • We had a pair when we first started found we had better use of storage area than lounge chairs. Gave them to the DD for her patio.5

our recliners travel on a rack on the rear ladder. can the bikes be mounted on a bike rack? otherwise convenient or not either the chairs ride on the bed or find different chairs.
