You people need to go back and read what I asked. I was more concerned with your safety. fumes rise upward unless the wind is blowing, I was wondering if there was a strong possibility of getting fumes in the rv. I have never even carried my generator with us. much less used it for the rv. We have for 40 yrs used nothing but FHU rv parks. You can sleep tonight, the generator will not be on.
I would think that your rv is airtight enough so that Carbon Monoxide (CO) does not penetrate to the inside. CO (especially when hotter than surrounding air) is lighter than air and the tendency is for it to dissipate into the atmosphere. The exception would be within a confined space where there is no escape, which does not really describe the bed of a pickup.
