My question, if using in the back of the pickup with a fifth wheel bedroom directly over the gen. isn't there a strong possibility of getting exhaust fumes up in the sleeping area?
We have a mounted generator on our Class C, so not quite the same, however, the exhaust is vented just forward of the living room slide out. We run it at night for A/C in the summer or heat/heated blankets in the winter. Just did it the other night. Ran the generator from about 9:30 pm until 8:30 am. Fumes don't enter our motorhome unless we have a window open. My daughter has a very keen sense of smell and she's never complained (neither has the CO detector). She often times sleeps on the fold out sofa, which is on the living room slide.
We only use the Generator at night when we are stopping for the night at a Wal-Mart or other parking lot where truckers and other RVers are doing the same.
