I guess you missed the "neither has the CO detector", I put in parenthesis after I wrote, my daughter has never complained about the smell. I was referring to her not complaining about the fumes from the Generator.

I didn't miss anything. You said your daughter never complained about fumes. I pointed out that "fumes", or smell, is not the real problem. CO can be present without the "fumes".
Unless your a full timer there is little likelihood of any real danger from fumes other than the danger presented by CO.
So even though this thread started out about "fumes" as opposed to CO I thought it was worth pointing out. I assume CO was the OP's real concern.
