That way you know that the RV was tried and true. Just sitting does nothing to test the worthiness of the RV.
lets see two situations. one you rent a seasonal spot and let the TT sit there for 4 months and use it every weekend and perhaps 2 or three weeks at a time, or two, you drag it back and forth every weekend bouncing down rutty roads etc. don't see any better test of the worthiness in option two myself. just wearing out bearings and tires.

You're assuming that the roads are all bumpy and rutty. Not necessarily true. Also I'm going to assume that sitting there no one is checking the tire pressure, lubing the axles and whatever other maintenance you need to do for over the road travel.
I'll take the RV that was on the road. I've seen too many semi permanent RV's that look like crap.
