Has O/P been back to his thread? As many others have pointed out, this is not "dry camping." If living in trailers is permitted by your county, I'll bet a well and approved septic system will be required. The size of the property is probably not relevant.
Or he probably regrets even asking the question...knowing that its a 1000 acres and he'll pretty well do as he pleases.
For all those folks who want to get worked about this, just consider that there are many thousands of migrants workers scattered all across our state who are living in worse conditions, doing worse things with their sewage than what the OP is suggesting. Not trying to justify, but to suggest that he's automatically going to encounter all kinds of regulatory trouble or fines is just silly.
