which weight distribution to buy

hello and thanks for reading my post

I'm in the market for a new travel trailer and I'm trying to decide which hitch to buy. I plan to pull the trailer with my 2014 Toyota tundra that has a 5.7 motor and I plan on buying a trailer no smaller then 25 feet and no longer then 35. also I would like the wd hitch to have sway control. any ideas or comments would be appreciated

  • I had a 2015 F-150 EcoBoost 3.5L with the MaxTow and tried to pull my 8900lbs dry 35' trailer. I felt the power was fine, it had the power but **** I was thrown all over, and I had a WDH of course. Went to a 2012 F250 PSD and problem fixed.

Be careful w/ that tundra yo.

Yes it does, theoretically. But Toyota never said the Tundra will tow a 10,0000 travel trailer, only that it can tow 10,000 lbs, big difference. In the real world, try those numbers without exceeding your payload. Also, 10,0000 lb trailer will have around 1,500 tongue weight.

Tundra owner here BTW as you can see from my sig.
