White hose

Thanks for all the replies. Reason I asked was I have a white hose for the TT and was going to use a spare garden hose as a backup. You all have made sense with your replies, why bother for the difference in price. I will be buying a second RV rated hose. Thanks!

City folks never drank from the garden hose. Guess I should be dead or dying of something other than age.

I've had very good luck with the Camco blue water hoses. Forget the cheap hose from Walmart; I've thrown away a couple of those. They kink so bad they're virtually unusable.

I bought the Camco 20 ft. hose that breaks down into two 10 ft sections which I found to be handy if you don't have to go very far with the hose. They don't kink and they're very heavy duty. Would definitely buy this one again.

I could not find that 20 ft. one anymore on Amazon but it looks identical to the 50 ft hose posted in this link and they offer it in a 25 ft too:

Use any hose you like that is rated for drinking water. Many of the “RV” hoses are cheap and don’t last very long, have terrible connections, and are horrible to deal with in cold weather. I’m still using a fabric hose I’ve had for ten years and works great in all weather conditions.

Over $70 for a 25 foot hose. Yeah, I don't think so. Maybe the last hose you ever buy, but what about when you forget it at a site? It gets run over, cut, damaged?

^ also yes i have a white hose, no its not 80 feet long to get to the campers parking place from the tap on the side of the house. hense the garden hose

i fill at home from the garden hose. it is just to fill and i run it for a minute first to clear it out. Never had an issue, though i've been drinking from those hoses for my entire life too. wouldnt leave it hooked up, nor would i use the water than bakes in the hose between uses.

That's why you let it run for a few seconds. You're supposed to squirt the scalding stuff at your buddy and then take your drink once it starts to run cold.
