Because of the drone controversy, FAA has gotten into the act (Yes we need more government controls) and all RC plane or quad operators have to register now for a number that is affixed to any RC plane or quad over 1/2 pound. They are banned at all federal parks. Of course the great pictures I have before the ban will be all I can get going forward. Operating a "drone" or quad is simply a hobby that the pilot needs to practice common sense and follow rules...simple rules, don't fly over 400 ft, near airports, over people or any place that does not allow them. BTW: Yes, I have a F450 quad with a GoPro 3 camera that does a remarkable job of aerial photography. Along with 3 other smaller ones.
