Drones are useful and fun. However, the people flying them often have lousy manners. I've never had one approach my TC.
I have a very recognizable and interesting boat. If you've ever been on a boat before, especially a larger one, you know these are used to escape the hustle and bustle of life while enjoying privacy and oneness with nature.
I've had drones fly right up to the windows to look inside, even hover a few feet above the roof for 15 minutes looking all around the boat and at me.
I have definitely thrown old food and stuff at these jerks' drones. But I've found a far better weapons.
Order yourself a cast net. The ones they use for fishing. They are easy to throw and if the drone is way too close invading your privacy, it's an easy target with the cast net. The net fouls the props and the lead weights pull it down (into the water in my case)
I've got one standing by for my next drone encounter. They should work equally as well at a campground.
