I send my drone ahead of my boats to see obstructions on the river before it is to late.
It really comes in handy when going downstream in my jet boat, especially on fast rivers.
I used to have some close calls going downstream. It can be really bad rounding a corner and find some rafts or drift boats sitting in the river. With a jet, you have go at least 1.5 times faster than the current going downstream in order to steer.That means on a river like the Snake or Rogue you will going 30MPH or faster.With the drone I scout out the blind corners, which is really important on very fast narrow rivers.
