They are easy to fly. I fly RC planes and helicopters. Helicopters are ridiculously complicated - never quite mastered it beyond just flying in circles.
The new drones have GPS and stabilization. I've flown mine in some pretty strong winds and it keeps its position using GPS. You can hear it adjusting the 4 motors to keep it on track but it does it.
This video is during some snow this past March. I didn't realize how windy it was until I took it up. I brought it down pretty quick. You can see the trees moving but the drone stays stable. Okay, not hurricane force winds but there's no way I could fly a plane or regular helicopter in that wind.
