Who really cares about what forum a thread is in?

I often see responses along the lines of "why did you post on this forum rather than that forum" or 'this belongs in "X" forum, or "you will get more responses posting in this forum instead" . Personally, I never check individual forums to see what is going on. I look at the "Active" search and occasionally the "Newest". Then I scroll thru to see if anything looks interesting. What forum it comes out of is meaningless to me.

  • There are posters who only view and post in certain boards. So where you post MAY provide different answers. Such as posting "should I choose a class A or a TT?" - you are likely to get different responses if you post it in the Class A board versus the Class C board.

Also, some boards get very little traffic. So posting there, you may not get as many responses as in other boards.

So I get the logic of posting something like "you'll get better responses if you move this to X board".

But to just tell folks "you're posting in the wrong board" is not very helpful.

Having the various boards themselves is helpful in that you can wander around in the TT board to see if there are any threads that you might find helpful in your TT ownership without having to go through a bunch of TC related threads.

Personally, I tend to look at where the thread is posted for certain types of questions. If someone asks about what size TT to get, I will check to see if they posted in the Fulltiming board before responding - they don't always mention fulltiming in the post, so knowing it was posted there can clarify their planned usage.

Um, wouldn't this post have been better under forum support?:B :B

Does anybody even look at that thread anymore

Good just to make sure, I just do not wish to view it on the forum home page. I have blocked it.
