We did it years ago when hubby's health problems lead to financial problems that drop us out of our house and normal life, into an RV, and onto the road headed south. Being poor after being prosperous was shock enough. But while being poor up north is a tragedy, it is more of an inconvenience down here. I got a job, hubby got good medical attention and went back to college. We got back on our feet and back into normal life and bought another house. But the 4 years e spent in the RV were some of our happiest. There's no room in a 32 foot trailer for a materialistic focus. You have no choice but to concentrate on people and living. Can't wait to get the house And the junk in it sold, and get back to real life, again.
Good post outlining the "other side", thank you.
That is interesting. I have always thought of my truck and rv as luxury or some of the junk that I can enjoy but that I really could live without.
