What attracts me to RVing? New people to meet and sights to see, plus fair weather.
About retirement: Most of our relatives worked hard and retired due to age or infirmity. They didn't daydream about what they would like to do "someday", nor did they have hobbies or pastimes. Those folks are hating retirement. My DH on the other hand decided the hours, phone calls and stress were getting old and he was looking forward to a change. He and I have a nice social life and many things we enjoy besides working, so we like retirement very much. I think if one really enjoys work, then why quit until you have things that you look forward to in the next chapter of life.
