It's not whether it's good or bad within its genre. Some people (me included) just don't like the whole package. It's a style of music that I simply don't like.
But that said, I don't even want to hear the music that I do like wafting through the campground. It could be my favorite song of all time and I would still feel peeved.
There's nothing wrong with not liking a STYLE of music, but many of the comments made about rap and hip hop are not about the style, but about the individual songs they've heard. I don't particularly like rap and hip hop, but songs like Sunday Candy make me realize that I can enjoy it. I no longer see it as something awful as a whole - I can enjoy the beat and rhythm since the lyrics don't offend me.
I do agree that ANY music blaring is annoying - unless it's my music blaring when I want to hear it blaring... :)
