This one time, i was camping with my Daughter. The people next to us, in a double site, dragged their generator around their trailer to our side and fired it up. It was very loud, and within a short time, the exhaust was coming all over our site. I politely asked them to turn it off, or move it, and they basically told me where to go. So, i just picked out my favorite long Neil Young tune (Cowgirl in the sand), opened all the doors on our van, and cranked it up. After about 5 minutes, they were yelling at me to turn it down. I told them that when they turned the genny off, i would turn it down. So, they did, and i did also. Sometimes loud music can work to your advantage!
