Yea! When you read a post like this it makes me wonder why we ever want to go to an established campground anywhere. We live in the county, have cornfields and bean fields on both sides of us. We can still burn our own trash, pee in the back yard (or the front yard for that matter), it's dark at night, no city lights, no loud obnoxious neighbors. And to think, we leave this little bit of paradise to go camping in an organized established park where you are 20 feet from the next camper, kids riding their motorized cars with those hard wheels going crunch, crunch, crunch on the asphalt, noisy campers beside you with their scare lights on all night, their campfire smoke blowing into your site making the smoke alarm inside YOUR camper go off, kids running through the campsite, people walking their dogs and letting them dump right in front of your parked car and don't pick it up, cars speeding on the road scaring the hee-bee-jeebies out of everyone parent with kids drawing chalk figures on the road, neighbor becoming intoxicated, get loud, rambunctious, annoying, are rude, playing loud music, and running their diesel engines and generators all hours of the day and night.
Yup, makes me wonder why I leave the quiet, peace, and solitude of my own driveway!
Could not have said it better myself. Also, makes me wonder why I go camping sometimes. It does not make me happy to be in the neighborhood of some of society's most inconsiderate morons.
Yep, I know. Stay home. I said that so you wouldn't have to.
