For Me Sally of this Bob and Sally group, it brings me a childhood peace that I cannot explain, a happiness of days gone by. I grew up on an island in the middle of the St Lawrence River, neighbours now and then with summer people coming and going to cottages, but we were all far apart. A dirt road up the middle of the island. A small one room school house, and about 6 or so families that were year round, on a 7 mile or so long island. I miss that life, and camping brings it back for me. My husband a city boy, that loves the outdoors. As a couple, camping is our paradise be it in a tent, a pop up, or our soon to be Motorhome. I Cannot wait for retire, just try and find us..lol. My brothers, one bought a large two story house boat and anchours in the shallows of that island my other brother now owns an Uncle's property on that island and lives there year round. Summer a boat gets him around and in the winters over the ice and open water an airboat.
