Why did you decide to get an rv?

About 30 years back we had 2 young boys and not a lot of $ for a vacation. My family had tent camped several times growing up so I asked DW if she wanted to try that with the boys. Having heard the stories from my Mom about cooking over an open campfire she was less than ok with it. I promised I would cook every breakfast and dinner with us eating out at lunch while sightseeing. I also said we'd get a tent large enough for air mattresses so no sleeping on the ground. We went, the boys had a great time and she never cooked. Went to the next winters RV show to get kids out of the house and DW spotted a Popup and asked what that was. I explained it, she looked inside and said "I could camp in this no problem". Now on our 5th wheel after successive upgrades. I still cook and she is more excited to go with each upgrade.
