Why do people spell Cummins with a "ings" ?
as in "Cummings" ? is it from when Forrd owned them?

It does seem to cheese the Ram owners off when you call their chosen oil-burner a "Cummings". Which is kinda fun to watch, to tell the truth.
The only thing that gets their "goat" (pun) more than that is if you call their new Ram a DODGE!. Back when the trucks said "Dodge" on the tailgate, they wore it like a badge of honor. Now it's just RAM, and if you mention Dodge it's like you insulted their mother. So, I sometimes say Dodge/Cummings just to see the reaction.
My personal and totally unscientific opinion is that the same people that say "Cummings" also say "Walmarts" and "Targets" like that's their names.
