I don't mean to be indelicate here, but this question has been bugging me!My IRL women friends are as confused by it as I am. But I often see men on camping forums saying that their ladies insist on campgrounds that have 'em, or prefer an RV because it has one. I less often see women posting the same thing.But what am I missing? Am I doing ladyperson wrong?

It could be that when a woman backs up to a pit toilet or some nasty toilet that she can't see what could jump on her. Just sayin...

I'm still wondering how my wife can squat on a toilet with her feet on the toilet seat.

Ladies are into aromatherapy more than guys. The smell of a pit toilet is a big negative. Your manly musk can't compete. ;)

I always assumed that all sexes wanted flush toilets. For sure, I always insist on all basic conveniences and comforts.

I can deal with a properly vented vault toilet. Main thing is that the facility is CLEAN. But I do have a paranoid fear of dropping something in there. I take everything out of my pockets, or zip them securely. I suspect some women have a subconscious fear of falling in. It's also very unpleasant to deal with a small child sitting on one.

We have similar thoughts. When I go into a porta potty for #1 the first thing I do it close the lid on the seat if it has one. I'm always thinking about dropping something in the tank.

Clearly it's because they have to be intimately in contact with them.
So it makes sense to me.
