Why Is It....
That so many towable RV's seem to have problems with tires, wheel bearings, and wheel studs? I mean this basic technology has been around since the first automobiles, and you rarely hear of cars loos...

I have towed for over 35 years.
Always on ST tires and for the last 15 years or so on China tires. One blowout and that was more than likely a low tire.
I only look at my bearings about once every 7 years or so and only then to check the brakes.
And yes, I agree, preventive maintenance can cause problems. I have seen people work on brakes and bearings that don't have a clue. They think they do, and that is even more dangerous.
Do what you want. I will continue to do what I'm doing. Why? Because I have no problems in 10's of thousands of miles of towing. :)
