They probably figure why bother if insured. If the insurance companies are overwhelmed they will do what they did 20 or so years ago when Fl was hit hard and will just spread it out on all of our premiums and the rate never goes back down. Wont be surprised to see it happen again.
X2, I'm sure there were some who saw an opportunity to quickly get rid of their RV.
It would make me sick to leave our old Southwind knowing it would probably be destroyed in a flood. It would be like leaving a pet behind, which some did.
