why would you do that?

The only time I've ever used the CG shower when I had FHU was when I was on the Pacific Ocean during a march storm. The inside of our trailer was so humid I couldn't bear to add shower moisture to it. The weather was 45 degrees and 100% RH with blowing sheets of rain. We ended up buying a dehumidifier at Walmart and pulled 2 gallons of water out of the air in 8 hours.

We don't do it because our shower and rig are comfortable and in every aspect home like.

Other RV's are not like that so while I don't do it I can understand why others might.

Ours is a SSS bathroom. Pain to wipe out after use not to mention inky dinky.

I don't wonder about that at all. Sometimes I use mine, sometimes I use the campgrounds.

What is strange to me is my FIL. We will not allow anyone to use the shower or the royal throne in his 5er, including himself. ???? What the ?????

Each to their own... I'm just as curious as the next guy is on what others do and why and I scratch my head many times wondering 'why' someone does something I do differently... :h

Sometimes I've thought about what I've witnessed and tried what they are doing (whatever it may be, not just the subject of this thread) and if I go "wow, why didn't I think of that sooner?", great... :S

But, often times it's just that they do it that way because it works for them and the way I do it works for me... :C

Such as most things with different people and the way it should be for the most part... Who wants to go around doing the same darn thing that everyone else does, just because that's what someone else does??? ha, ha!

It's all entertainment for me, as long as no one is getting hurt of course.... So, go about doing your strange and unusual things, just as I will and we can all get a laugh out of it when we tell the story to others! :)

I have seen some really nice class 'C's that are designed so that three walls slide out to make the room large enough to take a shower in. However, you are still spraying water on the toilet, sink, and potentially, the mirror/medicine cabinet. And just like room slides can leak, the sliding walls and floor of this type of bathroom look to me like they would be very leakage prone. If I had a motorhome designed like that, I too, would be showering at the park bath house.

For the same reason you (et al) care that posts like this are made.

We use the campground showers because taking a shower in our 20 foot class B is basically impossible. I'm only 5'11" and weigh about 175 and I barely can fit in the bathroom. There is a shower curtain and it would be possible to take a sit down shower if you sit on the toilet, but why would you do that when you could have the room of a nice campground shower? Class B RVs have some advantages, but a nice bathroom with a shower is not a class B selling point. Its all in what you want out of your RV.
