Under the letter of the law, hiring you would put a private employer in jeopardy of being in violation of several federal laws.
The employer would be in violation of minimum wage laws
The employer would be in violation of laws regarding the hiring of foreign workers
Both of those violations can carry severe financial penalties and even criminal charges for the employer.
Do businesses ignore those laws and hire people in your situation? absolutely, it is not an issue not actively pursued unless there are complaints.
Should businesses hire as you propose? Legally no, morally it is a bit ambiguous. Those laws are there to protect American workers, every worker hired by companies circumventing those laws do some harm to the workforce. Will the US economy collapse and unemployment skyrocket if a business took you up on your terms? No! So it is really comes down to whether or not you are comfortable violating the laws you agree to when you enter this country.
