We have had above average winter temps and less snow here in southern MN. It's seasonal now but, I went camping in November and we had a brown Christmas.
There is a local guy that predicts the weather by saving Onions from his garden in some special way. Then he cuts the Onions open and by measuring the water in them and what they look like he makes weather predictions.
He gives out these predictions on the local radio station. (Yes, it's a really lame station lol KDOM )
