It should be ski season in the Rockies... My son and I camped near Salida
(7000 ft) last weekend and mountain biked the monarch crest (11,500 ft), Rainbow trail and the Cottonwood loop during a 3 day weekend. Got down to 29 or 30 degrees a couple nights. 60-70 degrees during the day. No snow at 12,000 ft when we road the Crest. Delaying the winterizing of mine as well. May head out next weekend as its looking like the warm weather will hold. Gotta keep the wheels rolling before old man winter takes hold. Our 5er sits next to the house and we keep the slide out. Had a fire outside tonight right next to it in the rolling fire pit. Feels like camping to me.
