Winterizing--water pump kit question

I've installed the Camco water pump converter winterizing kit. I was able to get over half my faucets running the antifreeze but now my water pump just hums and doesn't seem to pump any more of the antifreeze out of the bottle. Is there some physics-type issue I'm overlooking? I've made sure the end of the hose is well into the bottle. Lifting up the bottle and even tilting it doesn't seem to help.

I'm welcome to any input. Thanks!
  • Be very sure the hose is at the bottom of the bottle. Be VERY sure you bypassed the WH. the hole process should only take 2 gal.
  • Make sure all faucets are off. Make sure the water pump is off. Put the hose in the container with the pink stuff. Now, turn on the pump. It will run and run and run, and probably pump nothing. Keep the pump running, and NOW turn on a faucet. You will hear a different sound the pump makes and it will begin pumping the pink from the container. If the pink stuff runs empty, or switching gallons, repeat. Every faucet off. Water pump off. Insert hose in pink stuff container. Turn on pump, turn on one faucet at a time. If the jug runs empty, repeat again until all lines are running pink stuff.

Did you try it with one faucet open?
  • are the non workers all on the hot/or cold side? did you flip the right valves on the WH?
