- Homer1ExplorerI have been to a few of these type campgrounds, but they were not high rises, just crappy mountain campgrounds, that could care less.
- tdillerExplorerI stayed at a campground last summer in Golden Colorado that was more like being stacked like shoe boxes in the place. Barely enough room for a picnic table between the two sites. And the price was crazy. I have never in my life made a reservation but this trip everything was full so this was all we could find. Never again.
- tpiExplorerThe only place it would be remotely feasible would be in a big city core. But do most people camp to see cities? Occasionally but generally not. Cost and logistics would be tough to impossible. I'd be very surprised, shocked if something like this is built.
It would be a great notch in the belt to camp on a rooftop on a big city highrise one time. It won't happen..
I do think there is room for creative license in RV parks resort locations. Such as Las Vegas. Or Disneyland. Something fun, really different..spectacular. At a price of course :) - beemerphile1Explorer

Lol...ok, where is this located?
That is actually a Dutch outdoor theater set. Here is an uncropped picture; - irishtom29ExplorerMight be a good idea for those wishing to stop in cities like Chicago or New York; if I go up to Chicago to visit my kids it's either stay in a hotel in Chicago or a campground out by Joliet.
- Bucky_BadgerExplorerThere is a reason it never made it out of the 60's
- rv2goExplorer IIIn Knoxville, TN, we have a 3 level parking garage built on a hill side. Each level has entry from a street. The top level is used for RV parking during special events and UT football games. Some sites have fhu's.
- Alabama_JimExplorerNovel, but noooooo.
- Homer1ExplorerIt might have a purpose in a highly congested area near a University or a large medical complex or any where people need close by parking for their rig to conduct business. For outdoor camping to me it has no appeal.
- mgirardoExplorerI could see if it were a hotel that offered RV parking on the roof, the views would be great. However, if the hotel is too high, it could be really windy up top. I don't think I'd be interested in camping anywhere but the roof.
