Pretty much my attitude, too, even tho' I was in the Navy. But I camped out on an old unused family farm 'most every weekend from 4th to 11th grade with my parents. As far as I'm concerned, my RV is a highly mobile apartment, not a 'camper.'
But I really think I'm going to cure my current cabin fever by spending Tuesday walking to the waterfalls in the afore-mentioned DuPont State Forest, and then camping for the night in Davidson River CG if I can get an electric site. It's less than 90 minutes from home, and it's been about 3 years since I was there. Tuesday's high is supposed to be above 60, compared to today's 32. It'll be muddy, but otherwise should be fine. Maybe make a quick side trip to Caesar's Head SP to see how the view across SC is, too.
