Would you shovel snow to camp?
We don't get a lot of snow around here, but with this recent storm, we have a campground 45 minutes north of us in the mountains that got about 10". I look at all the photos here with folks campi...

I have a suggestion for you.
Boone, NC, a little over a 2 hour drive from you (if you are about Spartanburg), has a free sledding hill beside the Chamber of Commerce. It is for kids, up to age 12. The have snow-making machines, so as long as it's cool enough, they have snow.
It is beside the library, which offers kids programs throughout the day.
I went skiing last year and DH took the kids and went to Boone. They had a blast and they have wanted to go back this year, but we have had plenty of snow to keep them busy.
