People are increasingly driving larger lower MPG vehicles and not cars I guess partly because they perceive gas to be cheap. Really. I don't think it's ever been cheap to keep fuel in a motor vehicle ...

Ahh the good old days! In ‘72 had a ‘69 Bug and a smoking habit. Could go next door to the Hess gas station and fillup for less than 2 bucks and pick up a carton of Marlboro’s for about the same.
