Yes they do. Makes you stop & think, do I really NEED that gas guzzling SUV? The answer of course is NO.
As soon as you cross the border into Canada you see far fewer big SUVs & many more of the crossover size. You don't see many 3500 trucks. Go to Europe & the average size reduction on the roads is even more dramatic.
Are the people smaller in the rest of the world so they fit in smaller cars easier? Don't think so. They buy small because they buy on a need basis & yes, most everywhere else Governments tax the living daylights out of fuel. The good news is in these high fuel tax places we have a choice to some degree to get smaller more fuel efficient vehicles & cut the Governments bite out of our pockets that way.
