Yeti coolers?

My Yeti and Pelican are not out for people to see, i dont have a Yeti sticker on anything and my Pelican has froze beer that was in ot so yes its colder than the lower priced cooler. Just because you dont own one doesnt mean you should try beating down the people that do. Are you that way with everything else you dont own ? I feel bad for you that you are missing out on great products that some of us have purchased and use.

I did not buy a Yeti or one of the other high performance coolers. We bought a coleman 5 day cooler and have been using it on our current 4.5 month rv trip. It is an auxiliary cooler so it doesn't get opened much. I am really disappointed I think we have spent enough on ice to poay for the Yeti twice. Should, Coulda, Woulda.

We have multiple Yetis. They are great when you need to keep stuff cold for days on end, especially in warmer weather. But for the average weekend camper? Totally overkill.

Also, the soft side cooler is not worth it, IMO. We have one and other than the fact it really is waterproof both inside and out, it doesn't do that great for keeping things cold for longer terms.

I have 3 Yeti coolers. None of which I paid retail for, but did bartered for. Would I have spent that much money for a red neck status symbol. Not! But, boy they sure are nice. Heavy but nice and MADE IN THE USA!!!
I could be wrong, but some times you just have to spend the bucks to get made in a USA.

I got a Yeti cooler for a gift. I've had ice in it for as many as five days without having to add more. It is heavy and I bought a $20 furniture dolly at Lowes so I can roll it from my truck to where I want to keep it. Comes in very handy when the campground does not sell ice or runs out. Just like RVs to each his own I guess.

It's the convenience of not having to constantly replace ice is what makes the more expensive coolers worth it.

Notice I didn't directly state Yeti coolers even though I have one.

Yup. Had a friend do a side by side comparison of the Ozark sealed tumbler to a Yeti sealed tumbler. The tumblers look surprisingly alike but he put the same amount of ice in each, sealed them with the lids, set them side by side and waited for the ice to melt. The Ozark slightly outlasted the Yeti.

I have had a Yeti cooler for a couple of years now but I didn't directly pay for it, used some airline miles to buy it. It is nice but I think they are way over-priced. If I were buying a Yeti style cooler, I would probably try the Ozark.
