Not sure about the outlet but you may want to "Clean up" a bit there (I mean the box on the fence) looks like some wire damage
The plug and socket (Adapter and RV) One thing you need to do is clean the contacts from time to time.. Most do not, as the contacts tarnish resistance increases and so does heat produced as current flows.. The heat increases the rate at which they tranish... You can see the final outcome.
NOTE: I see this all the time with 30 amp plugs.. Rare on a 50
