You can pump your own in parts of Oregon now

Was there back in 2011, and couldn't believe they don't let you pump your own. Luckily we were just passing through, and didn't need any gas, just the restrooms. I remember thinking at the time, how do I know who I'm handing my keys (locking gas cap/filler door) or cash/credit card to, when someone dressed casually walks up to my window and asks "fill 'er up?". There were at least a dozen young folks hanging around the pumps, and they all looked like they might be pump jockeys. I'm pretty sure they weren't.
