When its raining about an 1" an hour and its 40 deg. the wind is blowing 30mph, its like that a lot here in the winter. you would be soaked to the bone filling your tank. its well worth the .07

As others have pointed out, I don't recall the last time I saw a pump island that wasn't covered with a canopy. In other words you would be out of the rain.
