You Tube is pretty cool

While this isn't entirely RV related it might be helpful to some. My Grandson wanted a snake but didn't know squat about them so he went to his computer and looked up a bunch of stuff on YouTube. He got a lot of information and decided he wanted a corn snake, of course Nana did what they do best and took him to a pet shop, well you know it goes.

On the way home I said he seemed to know a lot about snakes, his comment, "YouTube, you can learn anything there">

The DW's in dash 6CD player jammed and she wanted her Christmas music. I turned to YT. Found out how to remove and then how to fix the thing. It's good for a few extra hours out tinkering in the garage.

I decided to check out RV repairs on YT. To my surprise there was a lot of problems explained and fixed with videos. Now there is no way YT's articles will or can replace these forums but there are a lot of videos on everything from unlocking broken Trimark door locks to replacing sail switches. I found much of the commentary to be CYA stuff but the videos let you see stuff inside the compartment marked No Serviceable items inside and the like. Ever wonder what the infamous FAU sail switch looks like, What a wasted anode rod looked like, why buy a PTRV specific wrench(other than they are neat to have just in case)is better than a box end wrench or socket?

I enjoy the back and forth and brilliance of posts here. It's a brotherhood like no other. But as someone once said a picture is worth a thousand words and a good video maybe worth 1500 words.

So now the DW's CD changer works, I'm tinkering in my restricted garage space and life is good with a Beach Campout planned for the fourteenth. Oh yeah all the outside Christmas decorations are up.
