Northwood RV wants $1,100 to park a 100w solar panel on top of it's RVs. I'll be RVing full time next year; so, please, convince me that that solar panel is worth the money.
wow that seems steep, especially for just 100 watts. if you're lucky, you'll get 500 or so watt (hours) per day from that panel. have you looked into your usage habits, is 500 watts enough to zero out your electrical usage in a day?
a few examples; 500 watts would be ~20 minutes microwaving something, or two pots or coffee, or a hair dryer for 15 minutes, ten hours of tv, etc.
It's not worth that much money, but I put 290 watts on my fifth wheel myself for a lot less than that. Solar is the best thing I have ever done to my camp units.
