I already suggested there is another alternative to the OP ditching his current 1K genset in favour of a larger 2K > keep the genset and invest in a stand alone stand alone charger than will work just fine with his genset, a CTEK Multi US 25000 being one example. A NOCO G26000 would be another. :)
