It goes to 15.8 on this model. There are no old and new Megawatts performance wise. My 350's and 400's all climb to borderline 16.0 My Meanwell dash fifteens go to Mars at almost 17 volts.
It is important to use pure solid copper wire on the output terminals because of physical wire size. Because of the relatively low amperage maximum 12 gauge wire is fine up to a fifteen foot back and forth distance. Seven and a half feet straight line.
Generator charging a flooded battery 14.8 volts is fine. This model will recharge a 50% depleted group 27 battery in about 2-hours. I did not say completely recharge, rather almost charge. Good enough for vacations not fast enough for off-grid.
I'll harp...
When a single battery is almost charged and is accepting say eight amperes at 14.8 volts, FOUR batteries will be cruising at THIRTY TWO AMPS. This makes all the difference in the world to me. An amp hour is is an amp hour.
My big bank at 95% state of charge is accepting 92-95 amperes. It takes 12.77 amps at 26.8 volts to FLOAT this bank
