Dangit!This is a BATTERY CHARGER
You know -- something that is used ONLY with the Yamaha 1000 generator.
Something that is loose. With battery cables with clips
And a power cord with prongs.
Now run down to Wally-China and see how much a Dack & Blecker Dyson vacuum cleaner look a like SMART charger costs. The Megawatt is a lot cheaper
Unlike the Dyson style snot rag this thing will charge batteries fast and easy. The Dyson clone will flash lights, sulfate batteries. And waste time and fuel.
A battery charger is SNOT a converter. Just like your Sure Flo water pump is not a bilge pump. Or the fresh water tank is not the black water tank.
Convinced any Smart Battery Charger on the face of the earth can equal time needed to recharge a battery -- using a Yamaha 1000 generator? Bring money. The Megawatt set at 14.8 volts will recharge 30% faster and it CAN NOT overload the small generator. Not even counting current inrush.
The CONTROL for this is automatic. No, not just the voltage setting, a running generator is damned difficult to forget about. Small generators run out of gas after just a few hours. Automatic function is referred to as INTRINSIC. So this setup has an INTRINSIC safety control that cannot be over-ridden unless a larger fuel tank is used.
Wanna use it at home? Buy an inline timer switch for the AC power cord. This little guy will kick the living snot out of Art Deco Jerry Brown grade battery destroyers.
But then there are some who insist on plugger-in-push-a-button and settle for whatever happens. Curiously enough -- these folks are happy with microwave TV dinners and virtual reality entertainment.
I take the sides of the WALLET, and the BATTERY. Minimum generator run time. Minimum wallet bleed at the gas station, and minimum mileage trying to collect on a battery ruined by the customer.
This setup is about as SIMPLE as it gets, unlike rationalized simplicity that deserves a rhino dart for irrational calculation. It's all about GENERATOR RUN TIME and the fact that only HOMER SIMPSON would forget about a running generator.
