Yep "settle for something that stalls the Yamaha or never charges the battery".
I verified what I recommended using a Harbor Fright 800 watt generator.
THAT is the kicker some of you seem to be blind to. He has LESS wattage producing potential than you folks do. Those highly freaked B&D chargers have inrush. Have you challenged a thousand watt generator with one of the Black and Decker chargers?
I seemed to have screwed-up and done exactly that and have instantly stalled the generator. The Megawatt doesn't. Or of course one could choose a 15 and not a thirty amp charge rate and set the alarm clock for 2:00 AM
