Reset the Megawatt pot to 13.6 volts. Connect it at home and guess what...it will support a 30-amp FLOAT charge. Enter and leave the rig. Turn lights on. The batteries never cycle. They remain floating. A psychotic converter does not go through stupid cycling programs. How idiot programmers managed to make this stuff difficult is beyond me.
David .... of course I accomplish the same thing whenever the RV is in storage at home by merely running an extension cord out to it and then letting it's good old Parallax 45 amp fixed voltage (~13.8 volts) stock converter FLOAT it's AGM batteries. But as you know, I bought AGM batteries (the liquid acid stock batteries were shot) that were specified to be floated at 13.5 to13-8 volts ... so that I wouldn't have to throw away and replace a perfectly good (and new) Parallax 7345 converter ... or buy a separate power supply for floating.
Waste Not Want Not by maximizing what one already has in hand: However I agree that the Mega Watt is not much money to spend for keeping life in a K.I.S.S. mode ... assuming the power supply is going to last for years.
BTW, my immaculate condition start-on-first-pull EX650 watt four stroke Honda generator was given to me around 30 years ago and is still going strong - but I probably should maximize use of it better going forward. My current approach of using my old Sears 2-10-50 charger in parallel with the RV's stock Parallax converter is a long way from what the Mega Watt model in your photo would do to enhance utilization of my little Honda!
