(Ignore the messy data cables) I did this for power for my media equipement:
When I want to run off inverter, I move the orange 1:3 splitter to the white receptacle. There's another one like this behind my bedroom TV.
I cut the socket end off the extension cord and wired it directly to a domestic receptacle.
