When I was shopping around for roof AC few years ago, I wanted the low-profile but they did cost much more and did not have the best recommendations at the time.
I went with Carrier having splash-technology that will not run water down the side and also is having moving fins and "cold shower" vent.
Lot of gadgets to choose. Some work for one, don't for other so use your previous experience to figure out what you like the most.
