1986 Holiday Rambler

Hello everyone, I am new to this site and need some help. I recently bought a 1986 holiday rambler to take my family on some adventures. I honestly have very little knowledge of the unit. The motorhome has some issues that i am trying to work through. Can someone tell me what the key switch does on the floor next to the driver seat? The generator does not seem to be getting any gas,can anyone tell me where it comes and goes?
